Pregnancy Massage
Booking a Pregnancy massage is a really lovely way for you
to feel looked after and cossetted!
The focus is on providing a gentle soothing experience, taking care of aches, pains and pregnancy niggles, and allowing you to really relax.
Massage in pregnancy still helps to ease all the usual tension and stresses that we all carry. But each massage will also be adapted to account for your changing body, and can also include specific techniques to help manage common pregnancy complaints, including:
*Fluid retention *Carpal tunnel pain *Pelvic girdle pain * Restless legs *Sleep problems *Lower back pain *Headaches
Massage is a gorgeous way to ease muscle pain that crops up as your posture changes and your joints loosen
- your body is doing an enormous job, it needs a bit of love!
Regular massages can help to improve your circulation, increasing the flow of oxygen and nutrients throughout the body and the placenta.
Pregnancy massages are slow, gliding and beautiful!
Very deep work is not recommended during pregnancy, but you can still enjoy a good firm massage to help release your aches and pains.
I work with you lying on your side and I use plenty of cushions, pillows and towels to get you comfy no matter how big your bump!
You'll feel cosy, relaxed and comfortable, and you'll get a great, effective massage without putting any uncomfortable pressure on your abdomen or back.
Pregnancy massage is suitable from 12 weeks of pregnancy onwards, right up to and past your due date, up until you go unto labour.
So as soon as you've had your first scan you can arrange a bit of time to relax.
